Dear friends in Christ Jesus, Greetings and prayerful wishes from Fr. Sanish Mathew.
I pray that you are doing well and staying safe.
May God be with you all to strengthen you.
As we are entering into this 25th Sunday of the Ordinary Time, the gospel gives us one of the most beautiful messages of hope, stating that we have a master who is always looking for laborers for His vineyard irrespective of our talents or abilities. All that He wants from us is our ‘Yes’ to His will. In other words, He needs laborers who are faithful, not successful. Coming to the gospel, we see the master going in search of the workers at different hours of the day. Why? He needs the cooperation and support of His laborers for His vineyard. He respects any amount of work you are doing for Him, irrespective of what time you get there. He respects and appreciates whatever you are doing for Him, whether you are young or old, strong or weak, intelligent or unintelligent… your willingness to do God’s job is what matters. When we waste our time in complainting about another person or when we compare our talents and abilities another person we are forgetting about the call that God has given to us personally. All of us, within our own limitations, has a mission to be fulfilled for our God. Do it without wasting time. As parents, as children, as priests, as deacons, as life partners… we are doing God’s job in our given vineyards, that is in our surroundings. Do it faithfully and sincerely without any complaints.
May God bless you and be with you all.
With love and prayers
Fr. Sanish Mathew HGN
