Greetings from Fr. Sanish Mathew. Hope you are doing well and staying healthy. May God be with you all.
This fourth Sunday of lent is known as ‘Laetare’ Sunday, means to rejoice. Holy mother church is inviting all her children to rejoice, for our salvation comes through Jesus Christ.
Coming to the readings of today, we have the beautiful passages in which we see how God sees things not as humans do. The first reading speaks about the beautiful passage of how David is being chosen and anointed as the king of Israel by Samuel, when everyone thought about him as unsuitable. The reading says, “when Samuel anointed David in the presence of his brothers; and from that day on, the spirit of the LORD rushed upon David.” This is the way God works in our lives. When we submit ourselves into the hands of God for Him to take control of our lives, miracle happens.
Therefore, let’s, during this Lenten season, submit ourselves into the hands of God so that His Spirit can work in our lives.
Let’s also appreciate and pray for all those candidates who are preparing to receive their sacraments. As they leave themselves into the hands of God, He will take control of their lives
.
May God continue to bless you and keep you safe.
With love and prayers
